Dear Parents
Happy New Year to you all and welcome back after the Christmas break which we hope was relaxing and enjoyable.
From news reports it seems that there is still a reasonable amount of flu and other viruses around, so please remember to keep your child at home if they show any symptoms.
We are looking forward to the term ahead and we have planned many events which we will provide details for nearer the time.
School Cross Country
I would like to commend all the children who braved the cold and wet to take part in the long and challenging Cross Country Event on Friday. All the children did amazingly well with Holly Bigger and Katherine Clifton-Day achieving Third Place. Well done and thank you to all the parents who helped with transport, without your help these opportunities would not be possible.
School Start Time and Lateness
We start Wake 'n' Shake at 8.55am, registration time is 9.00am. If your child arrives at school after our official start time of 9.00am please could they report to the Office so that they get marked 'present' in the register. It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that their children attend school punctually. It is the schools duty to report persistent lateness to the Educational Attendance Service.
Head Lice
Unfortunately we have had reports that these unwelcome visitors have returned. Please could I request that parents check their children's hair regularly and treat any outbreaks with regular combing of wet hair covered in conditioner. To help prevent the spread of headline children with long hair should have it tied back whilst at school.
