Dear Parents
School Uniform and PE Kit
Just a little reminder to ask you to ensure that all school uniform and PE kit is clearly labelled with your child's name. If your child comes home with another child's piece of uniform can you please bring it back in or hand it in to the office. When doing PE it is important that your child has the appropriate sports wear for the activity and is in school everyday, as spring is in the air and we will be having more PE sessions outside.
Car Parking
It has been brought to my attention by some of the residents of Stembridge that between the hours of 8.30 and 9.20 and 3.15 and 3.45 they feel that some parents are not being considerate when parking their cars. In addition to this some parents are parking on the Zigzag safety area outside the school. If you have to temporarily park on the road please ensure it is safe and legal to do so and does not inhibit any access to the residents driveways.
Easter Service and Headteacher's Commendations
On Friday 8th April we will be holding our Easter Assembly and Service at St Martins Church where I shall also be presenting the Headteacher's Commendation awards. The service will start at 2pm and all parents are invited to attend, a letter will be sent out with full details nearer the date.
Parents' Evenings
Although it seems a long time ago now, I would like to thank all the parents who attended our recent Parents' Evenings and completed the feedback forms. Following up from some of the comments made I have added a useful website address which explains the SATS levels and sub-levels clearly. Please visit www.satsguide.co.uk.
I would also like to thank the children who helped out at the Parents' Evenings and the parents for their patience and understanding.
Red Nose
I would like to thank all the children for the great effort they went to last Friday in aid of Comic Relief. 'Wear Something Funny for Money' was a great success and seemed to be enjoyed by everyone. The Kestrels Hockey club challenged the staff to a match and were a team to be proud of raising a significant amount of money through sponsorship. In total our school raised over £300 for this very worthy cause and had great fun in the process!
