Dear Parents

Headteacher Appointment
The school Governors have met with Mr Wayne Higgins today and are very happen to announce that he has been appointed as Acting Headteacher of Kingsbury School from September for the school year 2010/2011. Mr Higgins is currently Deputy Headteacher at Abbas and Templecombe Primary School. He was Acting Head there last term and led the school through an Ofsted inspection which resulted in an "Outstanding" grade for the school.

Mr Higgins will be visiting the school on several occasions next term; I am sure you will soon have the opportunity to meet him and, in September, will give him a real Kingsbury welcome!

Easter reminder
I hope that we will see lots of colourful bonnets at school on Thursday. Prizes will be awarded at the end of term service at the end of the day. If your child is taking part in the Dance festival on Thursday morning at Huish School, you could drop your child's bonnet into school after lunch, to save them taking the bonnets to Huish in the morning.

Patterns: Summer term Topic
A reminder that, as the starting point of the Patterns topic, we are having an activity day on Wednesday April 21st. Please can you ensure that your child brings a long sleeve shirt as an overall on that day, if they have not already got one in school.

Key Stage 2 walk to Burrow Hill
The weather forecast is quite wet for tomorrow's walk to Burrow Hill, so please can you make sure that you child comes to school with a warm coat/raincoat and wellies, ready for the tramp up the hill.
