I cannot believe where this year has gone and as the summer holidays are fast approaching, we are getting very busy. Please keep checking the website for updates and photographs of past and upcoming events.

School Choir
Well done to the KEPS School Choir who represented our school at the Edgar Hall in Somerton on the 22nd June 2011. The event was a great success and the children were congratulated for their excellent performance. The Choir also performed at the Party by the Parrett on the 2nd July 2011 where they also stole the show with modern versions of some popular songs.

Area Athletics
On Friday 24th June 2011 children from KS2, along with other local primary schools, took part in the Huish Community Learning Partnership Area Athletics Tournament. The children participated in a range of events such as Sprints, Long Jump, Javelin and Hurdles. All the children performed really well and the school finished 3rd overall. Some children have also been selected to represent The Huish Cluster of primary schools at the South East Somerset School Sport Partnerships (SES SSP) Championships which will be held at Yeovil Athletics Track on Friday 8th July 12:00-17:00.

Swimming Pool Bookings
Unfortunately the mobile phone used for pool bookings has failed. If you would like to book the pool between now and the end of term, please telephone the School Office to make a booking.

Car Parking
There have been two incidents in the last week caused by vehicles being parked too near to the entrances to residents' driveways opposite the school. Please can I urge parents to try to park considerately when parking on the road and suggest parking on the opposite side of the road from these houses if it is necessary to do so. Thank you.

Reports
Reports will be sent home with the children on Tuesday 12th July.

'Wrong Trousers' Day
A big thank you to everybody who joined in with Wrong Trousers Day and the donation of cakes to sell. By wearing your jazzy trousers to school and the cake sale we managed to raise the great total of £144.18 for Bristol Childrens' Hospital.

Clubs
As the final couple of weeks of term are going to be very busy, all after school clubs will finish on Friday 8th July 2011.

Sports Afternoon
Weather permitting, Sports Afternoon will take place on Monday 11th July, starting at 13:00. After the event children must go back to their classrooms to collect their belongings and to be released by the class teacher as normal. Please can children bring a t-shirt in their house colour to wear during the afternoon.

Swimming Gala
The Swimming Gala will be held on Monday 18th July, starting at 13:30. Swimming Gala heats will be taking place in classes and a list of those children participating in the Gala will be displayed shortly. Children must have a swimming cap in their house colour and please bring two towels for that day.

Please come and join us at both of the above events.
