Hello and welcome to the Kingsbury Episcopi Pre-School's web page. We hope you find the page informative, giving you an insight of what we are all about and the fun that we have!

We have been operating in Kingsbury Episcopi for over 20 years, providing pre-school education between the ages of 2 and a half to school admission age.

We are a registered charity, which is managed by a committee and run on a daily basis by a qualified pre-school supervisor.

We are situated on Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School's site, in our modern pre-school classroom, creating a warm, fun and safe, home from home environment where children can play2learn.

We are open Monday-Friday from 9am until 12pm and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during term time only.

The pre-school has good strong links with Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School and by being on the school site, we can ensure children have a secure and smooth transition into school life. The pre-schoolers will gradually get to know their reception class teacher and their new learning environment during our inductions held in the summer term, in preparation for their entry to school.

Kingsbury Episcopi Pre-school - Newsletter March 2012

We have had a busy term with several new children attending, sports sessions, visits to school and dressing up for World Book Day. The themes for planning are based upon the interests we observe in the children during their play, we discovered a lot about dinosaurs, enjoyed looking at baby pictures and bathing the baby dolls, imagining being superheroes and dressing up as princesses. We would be very pleased to hear from you about your child's interests and include them in our planning for future weeks.
Labelling clothing
It's good that spring is on its way now, time spent outside playing and exploring will increase so please make sure your child comes to pre-school with clothing suitable for outside as it can often be colder than we anticipate! Just a reminder to clearly label your child's belongings - coats, jumpers, and lunch boxes etc. it is a good habit to get into as preparation for school life.
Pre-school committee and parents
They've been busy putting together a pre-school recipe book and would welcome more recipes with illustrations from the children or even a favourite children's recipe. They can be e-mailed to Rebecca@bladonhouse.net or give a paper copy to us at pre-school.
Parents evening Wednesday 2nd May
We will hold an evening meeting for the parents of children due to start school in September 2012 to discuss the transfer to school and answer any questions you may have about this exciting time. Further information to follow.
Parents' week
During the week commencing 25th June we would like to invite you to come along for a session or part of a session to see your child's key worker, their folder, work and have an informal discussion about your child's progress. Further information nearer the time.
