Literacy: Daily Phonics, weekly handwriting and reading sessions.
The children will learn through a mixture of writing and reading genres including fiction, poetry and non-fiction. We will be starting off by reading or watching 'Whatever Next!' by Jill Murphy, and 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers. We will be focusing on sequencing stories and using story language in our writing. We will act our stories and find out about the different characters and what they might be thinking or feeling. We will be learning about how space rockets work and writing information booklets or poems about planets.
