Tuesday's children participate in class, age appropriate PSHE assemblies, and in Summer Year 6 also engage in their RSHE curriculum.
Singing Assemblies
KS1 and KS2 participate in two singing assemblies with Mrs Sowter and create beautiful traditional harmonies alongside newer melodies. Many staff join in with this a sit is a special feature within our school.
Friday Praise Assemblies
Headteacher certificates, two from each class per week, personal awards such as sporting achievements, trophies for local sporting events and house points all feature in our KS1 at 2.15pm and KS2 at 2.45pm afternoon assemblies. Overall House Point Winners achieve a Non-school uniform day in the following term. Parents are invited a week in advance for their praise certificates. At the end of autumn, spring and summer each class teacher award one child a Headteacher Commendation for exceptional progress, attitude and determination, this is an extra special assembly with large certificates and lots of stickers.
There is also the 'Encouragement and Enthusiasm Award'. This is given to one child each week who has helped to encourage and support others and shows enthusiasm even in difficult circumstances, this reinforces our school values and working within a team.
